ABOUT
Twelve years documenting New York from above, one frame at a time.

EST. 2012 / OUR STORY
A lens trained on New York from twelve years above it.
Skyline Perspective Aerials was founded in 2012 when Marcus Reyes realized that the most compelling views of New York City were the ones brokers and developers could never afford to capture. Helicopter rentals cost thousands per hour. The solution was precision drone technology paired with the compositional instincts of an architectural photographer.
What began as a single DJI platform and a roster of six real estate clients in Lower Manhattan has grown into a four-person operation serving the city's most demanding property developers, leasing brokers, and urban planning firms. Every engagement is treated as a precision exercise: airspace clearances filed, site surveys completed, and shot lists reviewed with clients before any aircraft leaves the ground.
The work is not about technology. It is about knowing what the eye expects to see at altitude and giving clients something that exceeds it.

THE PEOPLE
Licensed, insured, and formed by years of field work across every borough.
Marcus Reyes
Founder & Chief Aerial Photographer
FAA Part 107 · 12 Years Experience · NYC Licensed
The eye behind every altitude.
Marcus founded Skyline Perspective Aerials after a decade shooting architectural photography from helicopters. He recognized that drone technology could democratize the altitude advantage once reserved for major studios. His compositions have appeared in property listings that sold 40% faster than comparable market listings.
Dana Kowalczyk
Senior Drone Pilot & Editor
FAA Part 107 · DJI Master Pilot · 7 Years
Dana specializes in twilight and golden-hour shoots that transform ordinary properties into cinematic showcases. Her post-production workflow turns raw aerial footage into broadcast-quality deliverables within 48 hours.
Eliot Vance
Mapping & LiDAR Technician
GIS Certified · Pix4D Pro · Survey Grade
Eliot manages all photogrammetry and 3D mapping operations. He produces survey-grade orthomosaics and LiDAR point clouds for developers who need precise site documentation before ground breaks.
Priya Nataraj
Client Services Lead
Real Estate Licensed · NYC · 5 Years
Priya bridges the gap between technical production and client vision. With a background in real estate brokerage, she translates property marketing goals into specific shot lists and delivery formats brokers can use immediately.

VERIFIED RESULTS
Real feedback from the brokers, developers, and planners who depend on our work.
“We listed a Tribeca loft with footage Marcus shot at golden hour. The listing went live on a Thursday and we had a signed contract by Sunday. The aerial perspective showed the rooftop terrace and water-tower views in a way that ground photography simply cannot replicate.”
“The turnaround was 36 hours from shoot to final edited package. For a Friday deadline, that precision matters enormously. The footage was color-graded, stabilized, and ready to drop directly into our marketing suite.”
“We needed FAA waivers for controlled airspace near JFK. The team handled all coordination with the FAA and Port Authority without any input from us. That kind of operational competence is rare.”
“Solid work on our Brooklyn portfolio shoot. They documented 14 units in a single day, which kept our production costs manageable. A few of the interior-to-aerial transitions could have been tighter in the edit, but the raw aerial quality was excellent.”
“Marcus knew exactly where to position the drone to frame our Hudson Yards development against the midtown skyline at dusk. He brought three alternative compositions we had not considered. That creative input is the difference between a contractor and a collaborator.”
“Priya walked us through the entire process before the shoot date, which meant we arrived on site prepared. The team operates with military precision on location, which matters when you are coordinating access with building management and a tight schedule.”
